Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Set Sail

One listen to “Hey!” and you too will be hooked on the gloriously upbeat smiling pop from this Sydney-based three-piece. They can also provide lessons in the power of guerilla-style DIY promo, thanks to an Europe-wide busking trip.

More impressive pop music from Oz in the shape of Sydney duo Jacob Hennien and Jeremy Buffa. Contrakids have shown they’re kings of the electronic pop frontier with tracks like “Younger” and “Good Girl”, both full of fascinating swirls and twirls.

Go Swim

Summer may be over but here come Go Swim with a slew of giddy indie-pop tunes aiming to extend the season. Featuring previous members of Nakatomi Towers and Parachutes Over Paris, the Belfast-based band will be bringing their shiny riffs and wowsome hooks to a venue near you pretty soon.
