Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Cass Lowe

“Birthmark” is a signal that Cass Lowe is ready for his close-up. A songwriter and producer who has previously worked with Toddla T, Diana Vickers, Madeon, Guy Chambers, Shola Ama and many others, Lowe’s debut solo single is a dramatic broody pop tune with soulful vocals and an expansive musical sweep.

Basic Vacation

New York-based three-piece with a mighty, infectious pop jam to their named called “I Believe”. The biggest sugar-high hook you’ll hear this year, “I Believe” sets Basic Vacation up as the new favourite band for all fans of skyscraper indie-pop.

“Just Kids” marks the London trio – brother and sister Liam and Danielle Wade with Olly Bets – down as a rather special act. While their debut single “Striptease” was worthy of a mention in the despatches, “Just Kids” is a bit of a monster which twinkles with giddy joy and soars higher than the sun.
