Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. All tips for future New Music picks welcome below

Cars Love Girls

Former members of Republic of Loose, brother and sister Bres and Orla’s new buzz is about sweet-as pop and old-school r’n’b hooks and tunes. Check out tracks from forthcoming debut album “Skip School” or catch first live show at Dublin’s Crawdaddy on July 20.

Echo Lake

London five-piece making ethereal, dreamy pop jams which will remind you of fave shoegaze and ambient pop space cadets from the Cocteaus to Beach House. New single “Another Day” accentuates the blissful drones and hypnotic reverb.

DZ Deathrays

Hugely impressive at the recent Great Escape fest in Brighton, Aussie thrash duo Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley started out playing house parties in their native Brisbane before taking their riotous fuzzy punk rock to the next level with tunes like “Gebbie Street”.
