Hear ye, hear ye, The Ticket Album Club is now in session. Every month, The Ticket convenes the Album Club where a panel of guest critics air their views about one album and you, the readers, get to have your say on their views and, of course, the album in question. It’s great fun (unless you’re the act in question).

This time around, it’s “Helplessness Blues”, the new album from Fleet Foxes, which is up for review. Here’s what Brian Boyd had to say when the album was released earlier in the year.

But Boydy is not in this club. Instead, it’s Popical Island quartet Ruan van Vliet (Groom, Squarehead, Walpurgis Family, Tieranniesaur), Padraig Cooney (Land Lovers), Padraig O’Reilly (Yeh Deadlies, Tieranniesaur) and Mike Stevens (Groom) who get the run the rule over the Foxes’ latest album. As always, the Album Club is hosted by Daragh Downes.

Read what our guest critics had to say about “Helplessness Blues” here, listen to the album here and, of course, add your views on the reviews and the album below.
