The latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. All tips for future New Music picks welcome below.

Toby Kaar

Cork electronic music producer already producing tracks with oodles of good ideas and intentions (check out “Wensleydale” or “Bread” for his Baths-meets-DJ Shadow shizzle). Also has the live chops to support everyone from Nathan Fake to Ben Frost.

League

A pair of London based college dropouts who abandoned journalism and architecture courses to allegedly go live in a tent on a beach and are now making brilliantly off-kilter new-wave electronic rock. “Golden Maps” is the track Klaxons should have written for their last album.

Zombie Computer

Cork newbies making big, bold, doomy electrorock with some majestic hooks and melodies under the bonnet. Their “Indian Summer” debut album will be launched at The Quad, Cork on December 8.
