Our favourite Swedish pop singer plays Dublin’s Tripod on April 16. This will be part of the European tour to plug her forthcoming second album which doesn’t have a title yet. If you want to get close to the Li, tickets will cost €20 or €24.50 (plus Ticketmaster fees) – take note M.I.A.
Also from the upcoming gigs department: The Decemberists play Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 4 as part of the tour around the release os new album, “The King Is Dead”. Tickets for this one are €23 (plus Ticketmaster fees) and go on sale on Friday morning.
Other Voices update: in addition to the previously announced appearances from The National</a, Marina & The Diamonds and Richard Hawley., this year’s Other Voices will also feature Smoke Fairies, Cathy Davey, And So I Watch You From Afar (currently rocking the nation on the FMC tour), The Minutes, O Emperor, Jarvis Cocker, Laura Marling, Planet Parade, the excellent Jennifer Evans, Lisa O’Neill and many more. It all happens in St James’ Church, Dingle, Co Kerry from December 4 to 7. Tickets, which are going to be hard to get, go on sale in Dingle on Saturday next and on tickets.ie from next Monday. From the press release: “as per usual, daily line-ups will not be announced in advance of on-sale dates. Tickets are priced at €35 per ticket. Those wishing to purchase tickets can buy a maximum of two tickets per night with a limit of two nights only.”
