Does this mean Hebden is unlikely to play The Picnic then?

He played the Picnic twice last year if I’m not mistaken. Highly unlikely they’ll get him back again. I missed both slots and have fingers and toes crossed that he’ll make an appearance at Glasto. !!! must have a new album in the pipeline, have yet to hear anything about it.

Wasn’t sure what the music lineup was going to be like with their focus on so many other arts…have to say that this looks very promising so far! Would love to catch Tunng and Four Tet again…hopefully they are given enough time for long sets so it won’t just be the new tunes.

For all the Nationalists, new song “Terrible Love” previewed on Jimmy Fallon last night:

Appears to be more festivals this year than any other it is hard to see where the numbers are going to come from and how many of them are going to be pulled before they even get off the ground, good line up for the body & soul one looking forward to seeing four tet again

spacey – i think there will be a lot more “smaller” fests this summer – ones which are less than 5000 capacity and which have interesting mid-level bills. I’m already hearing about some interesting one-day bills to come in and around Dublin over the summer – looks like a lot of promoters are still prepared to go for it.

Try http://www.renttopapartments.com/ – especially if there’s enough of ye going to lower the cost per person. A mate of mine swears by them. Go for the Poblenou area – I’d try and avoid Las Ramblas if I were you!

Sorry to linger on the Primavera topic, Jim, but anyone know if this is it in terms of last few acts to be added to the bill?

It’s not exactly clear from the press release whether that’s the lineup completed. I was hoping for at least one other ‘big name’ to be added. I guess Van Dyke Parks is a legend in fairness. Never heard of Clare And The Reasons though…

    @ the harro 13

The organiser commented (via the forum) that if they see anything they like at SXSW, they will add them. Outside of that, they are not chasing anymore “headliners”. Feeling though they may pull a late addition, like they did last year with Neil Young.

good start, but hopefully there’s a few more acts of similar calibre.
i like a lot of the non-music things at these type of events, but i can’t help thinking a lot of lineups for similar targeted events over the last few years have suffered because of the extra stuff which, for me at least, is very much a side-attraction from the music…
