RTE content makes its way to Netflix

    Ciara O'Brien

Netflix is bringing more Irish content to its lineup, announcing today that it has done a deal with RTE Digital to bring a number of the broadcaster’s shows to the streaming service.

From September 15th, Netflix subscribers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch shows such as The Clinic, Killnaskully, Trivia and Mattie. Raw, meanwhile, will be available for Irish viewers only.

I’ll be honest: out of those five, I’ve only heard of three, and I’d probably only watch two (I’ll leave you to guess which two). But it’s good to see some Irish content on there, and it’s probably a good move for RTE – there are a million subscribers to Netflix in the UK and Ireland.

Will we see more RTE content over the next few months? And what would you like to see RTE make available on Netflix?
