Tech tools: HTC Desire S
As Android phones go, HTC has really thrown itself into adopting Google’s operating system. The Desire S is one of the newer generation of Android handsets.
A streamlined version of its previous handsets, the Desire S is more compact and easier to use. The optical trackball from its predecessor has been dumped, and it has an aluminium unibody design this time around.
On the inside, it has Snapdragon’s 1GHz processor, so it runs quickly enough. And the interface has been tweaked, making it easier to find your open applications, most frequently used or even just the ones you’ve downloaded, instead of the preloaded apps.
Despite being compact, it comes with a 3.7-inch display that’s great for playing back your video content, which can be captured in high definition, too. Definitely a step up from the Desire.
