Nintendo promises 3D DS
The 3D bandwagon rolls on. Next to jump on board is Nintendo, who announced today they are planning to release a 3D version of the DS.
According to reports, the handheld console will be able to handle 3D without the need for special glasses – probably a good thing, considering you see people out and about with them a lot. It will be able to play titles created for previous DS models too, another bonus point.
No details yet on price or availability but Nintendo has promised to reveal more at E3 in June.
Sony is also planning some 3D gaming, with PS3 titles in the works to coincide with the June launch of the brand’s 3D TVs. In this case, though, it’s just a software update rather than a hardware overhaul for the console.
So what so you think? Would you bother with 3D gaming? Will you even bother with the 3D TVs?Or is it just nother ploy to get us putting our hands in our pockets yet again?
