    D-Day for Apple fans

    Ciara O'Brien

Apple will unveil its latest product at 6pm tonight. We’ll finally get a look at the tablet they’re expected to launch and whatever else Apple decides to chuck our way.

If the pictures and rumours are in any way accurate, it’ll be a pretty impressive device. It’s expected to have 3G capability, and function similar to the iPhone’s mutitouch screen. There are rumours of apps already developed for it, which we might see today, and of course the standard music, web browsing and e-books functions.

One things that has been the subject of much speculation is the price. Online rumours put it anywhere between $600 and$1,000, although the higher prices have been rubbished in some quarters. What the price will eventually end up as in Ireland is another question altogether.

But how much would you be willing to pay for Apple’s tablet?

    • Whatever it is, it will be over priced and in about 6 months time there will be a much better, more customizable, alternative on the market. The only thing that Apple are truly gifted at is the art of marketing. Listen to the buzz about something that hasn’t even been announced. Apple have a great understanding of how to create hype and buzz.

In terms of hardware and software development they are not great (Ever used iTunes?). They also have great industrial designers.
