    iPhone to come to Vodafone

    Ciara O'Brien

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s news that the iPhone is going to be available on Orange in the UK is Vodafone’s announcement that it will also be selling Apple’s popular device. From 2010, Irish Vodafone customers will also be able to get the iPhone, meaning an end to O2′s exclusivity.

Irish customers can register interest with Vodafone here from today. No pricing as yet though.

If only it was available from Dec this year. it would mean an end to this years Christmas present woes.

    • Brian Byrne says:

Yipee… Just what we need in a recession – an over priced phone with an expensive price plan. Emm… I think I’ll stick with my old phone for the time being.

    • Shane says:

Won’t be long for Apple start their own mobile network. All the phones will be in place and ready to switch over!

    • Marcus Claffey says:

While I am a fan of Apple and this excellent device I am disappointed at the way it has been offered to the irish public. O2 is making too much money from the iPhone, now vodafone extpands the cartel. I’d like to see more competition here and the iPhone available on all networks.
