Twitter loses a follower
After his no-show last week for the US v Ireland at the National Stadium, the only clues to Kenny Egan’s whereabouts were on Twitter. @kennyegan was leaving us cryptic clues about his whereabouts through pictures and posts that seemed to suggest he was in New York.
But @kennyegan is no more.
Kenny’s media guy Liam Gaskin told me earlier this week that he didn’t think the boxer was the one posting some of the updates, because it didn’t sound like his language. He speculated that it was a friend of Kenny’s, updating it with his permission.
Today I logged into Twitetr and noticed my “following” numbers were off. A quick check revealed it was @kennyegan that had gone, with Twitter no longer able to find the page.
Looks like someone has “had a word”. Pity.
