Pull the other one…
Companies threaten legal action over some strange things, but a row over using the phrase “pull my finger” in advertising has to be one of the more ridiculous cases.
According to CNN, it all hinges around apps for the iPhone that allow users to fake fart noises on their handset.
It’s a curious way to ensure your iPhone isn’t swiped. CNN says this:
“According to InfoMedia’s legal filing, its iFart app “boasts a number of unique features including a built-in security system designed to aurally surprise and discourage iPhone theft. iFart also features a “Sneak Attack” function using a timer that emits the sound of flatulence when it goes off, the company says, and can also be used as a prank to an unsuspecting person.”
Describing it as a “cultural phenomenon” could be pushing it a little though.
