Everyone wants in on Twitter
A month ago, I didn’t have a Twitter account. Well, not a proper one anyway. Now I’m hooked.
I’ve been trying not to be too mundane. After all, no one really needs to know the minutae of my day.
But I’m weirdly fascinated by other people’s updates. A quick scan of the people I’m following reveal some journalists, a few tech industry people and bodies, some blogs and a growing list of famous people.
Yes, celebrities. Stars of stage and screen. I’ve watched Stephen Fry trapped in a lift, followed Wossy when he returned from his suspension to his Friday night show, and seen Russell Brand take his first few steps into the world of Twitter.
And they’re not the only ones getting in on the act. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are also fans of Twitter, as is Al Gore and Britney Spears.
Sadly, the Dalai Lama and Richard Hammond turned out to be fakes. But who knows who else will start Twittering?
