Hard drive goes *boom*

Oh the irony. Less than a week after writing about how data loss is expected to affect an increasing number of people this year, my external hard drive gave up the ghost. All those stern talking-tos I’ve given about backing up the backup, and I hadn’t quite got around to it myself.
Fingers crossed I can get some of the files back, or else I’ve lost almost ever photo I’ve taken over two years. Along with some pretty important files.
This week’s investment: a 1TB hard drive and 100 DVD-Rs.
