Dublin emerged as the third most expensive city for a basket of groceries in a recent survey by the Guardian, ahead of London, Berlin, New York and Paris, but behind Sydney and Toronto (which was 20 per cent more expensive than Dublin), Conor Pope reports in The Irish Times today.
