Dublin has been ranked among the least “liveable” in cities in Europe. In a new survey, which Eoin Burke-Kennedy reports on today, the Irish capital ranks 20th in Europe for “liveability”, based on factors including stability and the quality of healthcare, culture, the environment, education and infrastructure.

Dublin ranks behind European cities like Vienna, Zurich, Lyon, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Madrid. Melbourne topped the world rankings for the most pleasant city to live in for the fourth year in a row, followed by Vienna, Vancouver and Toronto. Australia and Canada, popular destinations with Irish emigrants, accounted for seven of the top ten cities.

How would you rank the city where you live? How does it compare to Dublin or other Irish cities in terms of things like healthcare, culture, environment and infrastructure? Let us know in the comments section below.
