To coincide with President Michael D Higgins’ historic state visit to Britain next week, the Generation Emigration blog will be dedicated to stories and articles from Irish people living and working across the UK for the week beginning this Saturday, April 5th.

If you have an interesting story to share about your experiences moving there, the work you do with the Irish community, a project you are involved with, or any other aspect of Irishness in Britain, please do get in touch.

Submissions should be under 800 words, with a photograph, and should be sent by next Monday to emigration@irishtimes.com.
