Free GP care for under-fives, lower dole payments for under-25s, a €230 million cut in social welfare, scrapping mortgage interest supplement payments, an increase in prescription charges and fewer paid sick days for employees… these are some of the measures expected to be announced by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan in today’s budget.

Will you pay attention to today’s proceedings? What measures might have an impact on you now, or on your plans to return to Ireland? If you are still living in Ireland, would measures like lowering dole payments for under-25s make you consider emigrating?
