JOE DUFFY LAUNCHES POSTCARD CAMPAIGN FOR THE GATHERING IRELAND 2013

The Gathering Ireland 2013 has partnered with An Post to distribute postcards to 1.8 million households in Ireland this November. The postcards are being distributed to encourage Irish families to invite someone home for the Gathering Ireland in 2013 and should land in peopleâs houses over the coming days. The initiative is an important part of the Gathering campaign in order to encourage invitations to be sent to the four corners of the world. Everyone is being asked to use these postcards to send a message to family, friends and loved ones abroad and invite someone home next year for the Gathering Ireland 2013. Â
Speaking at the announcement Joe Duffy said, âIâm delighted to be here today to launch the Gathering Ireland 2013 postcard initiative. I got in touch with the Gathering about this idea early in 2012 and Iâm delighted to see it come to fruition. I think itâs a simple and effective way to reach out to people and encourage them to get involved. We all know someone, be it family or friends, who live abroad and this simple idea will help make it easier for people to reach out to them and invite them home. The Gathering depends on Irish people getting behind it and I would like to encourage people to put the postcards to good use and be part of the Gathering in 2013â.
