Irish Diaspora Centre appoints creative director
What do you think of plans for the €50m Irish International Diaspora Centre in Dun Laoghaire? How could the current wave of emigrants be represented?
The IIDC is a €50m project which aims to establish a visitor centre celebrating the “origins, diversity and influence of the Irish at home and abroad”, which will be located on the Carlisle Pier in Dun Laoghaire in Dublin, where thousands of Irish people left for Britain, the US, Canada and Australia in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The development of the Diaspora Centre is part of the Masterplan for Dun Laoghaire Harbour.
