Generation Emigration have received numerous media requests this week from foreign media organisations looking to interview Irish people who are preparing to emigrate, as part of their coverage of the Fiscal Treaty referendum.

French radio station Europe 1 are looking to speak with Dublin-based families who are emigrating for financial reasons. If you would be interested in sharing your story with them, and are available this Friday or Saturday, email Amandine Alexandre amandine.london@gmail.com.

BBC Radio 5 Live will be broadcasting live from Dawson Street in Dublin next Thursday, the day of the referendum. They are looking to speak with families who can talk about how the recession has affected them. Whether you are planning to leave, have returned home after living abroad for some time, or are adamant to stay in Ireland no matter what, you can email judy.tait@bbc.co.uk if you’d like to join in on the day.

Danish public television station DR will be in Dublin from 29 May – 1 June to cover the referendum, and plan to make a feature story on the consequences of austerity in Ireland. They are looking to interview a young person who is preparing to leave. Email Hans Bontinck at hans02@headline.be for more details.
