Barry McKinley on TV3's Ireland AM programme.

Readers who enjoyed Barry McKinley’s article Off to New York with the iPaddies a few weeks ago might be interested to watch his recent interview on TV3′s Ireland AM, which is available on the TV3 Player here. An old friend of Barry’s from New York saw him on the show and read his article for The Irish Times, and has since been in touch to offer him some work at the end of this month. We wish Barry the very best of luck.

Claire Calvey’s Emigrant Voices piece for Generation Emigration (This time, emigration feels like a life sentence, not a lifestyle choice) was also quoted in an article for CNN yesterday: After the roar of the Celtic Tiger, young Irish cubs look overseas for opportunity.

Generation Emigration also featured in an article about Irish emigration in The Guardian last month, which quoted an article by Ruth Barrett, who is living in Riyadh with her family since last summer and wrote a piece for the blog before Christmas.
