Happy Christmas Ireland! Send a greeting home

Send a Christmas greeting home to Ireland in the form of a note, video or photo – the best will be published in The Irish Times on Friday.

For the thousands of Irish emigrants around the world who won’t be coming home for Christmas, Generation Emigration would like to offer you the opportunity to send a Christmas message home through the blog. It can be addressed to anyone you like: friends, family, Ireland, politicians or bankers… and can be heartfelt or funny, serious or satirical – just post your greeting in the comments section below to share with the world.

Feeling creative? You can send your message in the form of a photo, drawing, or on film if you wish – just upload the clip to YouTube or Vimeo and email the link or image to us and we’ll upload it to the blog.

A selection of greetings will be published in the Life and Culture section of The Irish Times on Friday 23rd, so get writing!
