Democrats Abroad Ireland are looking for stories

Democrats Abroad Ireland are looking for personal stories from people who benefitted from the Donnelly Visa programme in the US in the 1980s.

A Facebook page has been set up where recipients of the Donnelly Visas can post video testimonials or written stories about their experiences, and how the visa affected their lives.

The stories will be used as part of a multimedia presentation at an event to mark the 25th anniversary of the Donnelly Visa in Dublin on November 24th, where former US Representative and Ambassador Brian Donnelly will be presented with an award for his Outstanding Contribution to the American Experience.

For more information or to upload your story, visit www.facebook.com/DonnellyVisa or email democrats.ireland@gmail.com.
