Former Anglo Irish Bank chairman and chief executive Seán FitzPatrick has been arrested in connection with alleged financial irregularities at the bank. Two other former high-ranking executives at the bank appeared in court yesterday, July 23rd. Willie McAteer and Pat Whelan were each charged with company law offences.
