SJP’s debut shoe collection – Carrie would be proud!
The queen of TV style, Sarah Jessica Parker, is almost ready to release her debut shoe collection – and it’s a doozy
Fittingly, Parker has teamed up with the chief executive of Manolo Blahnik, George Malkemus, to design the range of - and here’s my favourite part – single-sole pumps and sandals.
If you don’t know what SJP means by single-sole, she means this: not a platform in sight. For those of us for whom the platform heel has come to represent all that is wrong with the world (TOWIE, the Kardashians, Irish moddles), this news is beyond good. Parker, speaking to O Magazine as part of a series of photographs and video for the Coveteur, said she wants the line to do something a little unexpected: treat colour as a neutral.
So this means we can expect super-bright coloured shoes for day and night, with a variety of heel heights (my faves are these gorgeous bow-detail copper pumps, above). The bad news? These babies don’t come cheap – starting at around $200 for shoes and with bags coming in at “less than $700″ according to New York magazine.
