Amy Huberman, the new face of Newbridge Silverware
Actress and new mother Amy Huberman has just been unveiled as the new face of Newbridge Silverware, in a range of cinematic photographs shot by Barry McCall
We’re big fans of both Amy Huberman and Newbridge Silverware here at Fash Mob towers (have you visited the Museum of Style Icons? So worth the visit – and while you’re there you can check out one of the tidiest H&Ms around, in the Whitewater Shopping Centre) – so when we heard that the two were joining forces for the Irish brand’s latest campaign, we were beyond thrilled.
And the campaign shots, photographed by Barry McCall, have definitely lived up to our expectations. They’re not breaking any moulds here – Amy’s look is, after all, a classic one, and Newbridge Silverware has always aimed for a timeless aesthetic – but if the goal was to create beautiful imagery with a film-like quality, consider it achieved.
And the folks at Newbridge tell me that the collection modelled by Amy is garnering a lot of interest already, since the launch on Friday at the Museum of Style Icons. (Although really, they would, wouldn’t they?)
One of my favourite things about the image is the restraint shown with Photoshop. It’s true that almost every fashion image will be touched up in post-production, but this editing is often taken to extremes – it’s refreshing to see the odd smile line, not to mention those soft, beautiful flyaways in Amy’s hair, above.
And while we’re on the subject of Newbridge, it’s about time we announced the winner of our Greta Garbo jewellery competition: Linda Callaghan, from Glasnevin. Linda, your earrings will be with you shortly!
