Focus on menswear at Arnotts, April 11th-27th

Finally it’s time to focus on the boys, with 16 days of menswear events at Arnotts – think beer, burgers, deck-spinning and car racing

It’s pretty common for the men in our lives to get overlooked when it comes to shopping – something that Arnotts is trying to change, at least for the next fortnight or so, with a menswear-focused couple of weeks in the Henry St department store.

Right now, Certina watches has brought back its car racing simulator, allowing men to compete for the fastest lap time, with the winner receiving a VIP day at Mondello (trust me: the most fun you can have in a car without getting arrested). The simulator will run until April 14th (Sunday) on the menswear floor.

And yesterday saw the launch of Arnotts’ King of Cool competition, asking fashion-conscious guys to send in a pic of themselves in their best get-up, whether it’s preppy chic or laidback cool, either via Arnotts’ Facebook page or on Twitter @arnottsdublin. The winner will be crowned Arnotts’ King of Cool and will also be on the receiving end of some great prizes, including lunch at L.Mulligan Grocer in Stoneybatter, with Irish craft beers, prizes from the Jameson Distillery, Calvin Klein sunglasses, a Hugo Boss watch, and a Carve On personalised iPad/iPhone accessory.

Other events include Original Penguin‘s burgers’n'beer day tomorrow, April 13th, and Diesel’s “spin the decks” promotion on April 20th, with prizes for the best sounds created on the diesel decks.
