Accessories spotlight: Ana Faye handbags

Ana Faye is an Irish handbag designer who works in high-quality leather at great prices

With all the talk of Simone Rocha, JW Anderson and of course the accessories stalwart, Pauric Sweeney, it can seem as if Irish designers are 10 a penny; but when it comes to Irish designers you can afford to buy into, it’s a harder slog.

Which is why I was so delighted to spot Ana Faye‘s handbags in Kilkenny. This Irish designer has created a range of Italian leather bags in classic shapes and gorgeous colours to suit – well, let’s say most - Irish wallets.

This cobalt blue embossed leather tote is €195, for example, which isn’t exactly budget-busting, but is pretty damn good value for a leather handbag. The cross-body bags (top and below) are €149 each and come in a range of colours. Well worth a look.
