Last week, Boohoo.com held its S/S 2013 press day in the penthouse of the Morgan Hotel, and asked me to style a segment for Xposé, which will be broadcast next week. Initially, I had reservations – not about the segment I had to style, but about whether or not Boohoo.com was for me. Surely it was for a young audience, maybe sizes 8 to 10, who like their hemlines high and their dresses bodycon?

Well I don’t think I’m alone in saying that the S/S selection at the online retailer really surprised me – there were plenty of voices from the Irish fashion press in the room that day exclaiming about what a great selection there was, for all shapes and sizes (although when it comes to dresses, hems are short and they are tight).

The Boutique range, which was only introduced last year, was particularly impressive, with luxe fabrics and really strong trends – think Aztec prints, Mexicana influenced fringing on denims and suedes and jumpsuits galore.
