Hands down, the entertainment.ie erics was one of the most difficult events to dress for. It wasn’t an awards show in the style of the VIP Style Awards, so floor-length satin was out – but it wasn’t a super-casual non-event, so I didn’t want to go for my usual black tights + ankle boots + dress of some sort with messy hair lark.

What I went for was a mix of the two – high and low end. Lots of bling and a bit of effort with my hairdo (which, photographically, was a bit of a hair don’t) plus a tomato-red jacket by Banana Republic and my trusty MiH Marrakesh jeans which make me very tall (but necessitate the wearing of very high shoes which simultaneously make me very unstable). A slick of slightly red lippy and I was ready to go . . .

Blazer, Banana Republic; T-shirt and necklaces, Topshop; jeans c/o MiH; shoes (barely seen), Office; studded handle umbrella (on the crook of my arm in picture 1), Zara. Incredible wit? I got it from my mama.
