Suit (above) from Zara

Coming into a new season, I often start thinking about what’s being left behind, and what’s coming in. What should we store? What should we bin? And what can we keep on wearing?

Suits are a trend that came in last season and look set to stick around, at least for one season more – but how do we feel about them? Are they cut? Overdone? Do they work on the red carpet, for example? I’m quite a fan of them, in the abstract. I own one – a shorts suit with a tropical print that I bought in the summer and that I wish I could pull off. I’ve worn the bits separately, of course, but together they still confound me.
