We went all American in yesterday’s Irish Times by advocating the wearing of wellies outside the farm. I know, controversial! If you picked up the (new-look) Irish Times you’ll have seen the lovely Irma (above) rocking a pair of Hunter wellies, paired with a Peter O’Brien for Arnotts skirt and the cutest bunny jumper you ever did see, from Penneys.

It was a very relaxed, heavily layered look for the elements – keeping you warm, dry, warm, dry . . . my number one (and two) in terms of priorities on cold, wet days. What do you think? Are wellies for regular wear, or would you rather keep them confined to Old McDonald’s (and, y’know, Electric Picnic)?
