Happy Tuesday, y’all! Welcome to a very short but, in Fash Mob terms, action-packed week. Later on today I’ll be announcing the winners of TheLoop.ie competition to win four €50 vouchers; I’ll be running a competition in association with Irish online jewellery store, Coldlillies.com; I’ll be live-tweeting, instagramming and Facebooking from the press preview of Dublin’s brand-new Abercrombie & Fitch store and, at some stage this week, I’ll be celebrating 1,000 likes on the Fash Mob Facebook page with a very special giveaway! So stay tuned . . .

But for now: I’m not sure quite what I think about Kelly Brook’s New Look collections. One moment, I’m all “cute clothes for curvy women” (which is a positive); the next, I’m all “celebrity puts name to mediocre high-street line” (not so positive). Her first clothing collection didn’t really overwhelm me, and I’m afraid to say that the Christmas collection is going along the same lines.

While her undies started off being something different, ie, 1950s-style bras and knickers for women with big knockers, her clothing line is just more of the same ol’ high-street tat they’ve been trying to sell us for years. For Christmas, that means faux fur, a black jumpsuit, sequined knicker shorts and mohair sweaters. (And am I wrong in thinking this borrows a lot from H&M’s Lana del Rey-fronted collection?)
