JW Anderson‘s Topshop collection is oh-so-very-nearly on top of us, arriving in stores this Friday and online at topshop.com. Though I’m sure the Louise Gray collaboration was more fun than Anderson’s dark 1990s grunge vision, there is something far more exciting and original (to me) about Irish-born Anderson’s high-street collab than so many more that have come before him. (I also love that he was there for the shooting of the lookbook – that’s dedication!)

The roller skates are kind of reminiscent of some kind of creepy, broken-down circus clown – and I love the styling of the lookbook especially. It’s as if they decided they loved layering, but realised they needed to really commit to really going for it, rather than just throwing a jumper over a shirt. The padded sleeveless T-shirts are perfection (although I am never, ever getting back on board the skirts-over-trousers train).

What do you think? Are you interested in checking out the JW Anderson x Topshop collaboration?
