Penneys is well-known for its cute and eye-catching lookbook shoots, but this season they’ve gone (in my book) one better by putting their looks on Irish models, on Dublin’s streets. I love a bit of patriotism, I do! And they have some great pieces at the moment – as usual – but in particular there are a few bits I’d have my eye on. Namely:
The khaki jacket, above, with PU sleeves (€25) – it’s got (faux) leather and military, two of the season’s big trends, and will look great with denim.
L’Or’s check jumper (€14) – neon isn’t going anywhere fast and this is a great way to get a pop of colour into your wardrobe. Worn with a ladylike tweed skirt, as above, it gets a touch of elegance.
This orange check skirt (€13) – I wouldn’t wear it with the orange jumper, just so we’re clear, but it’s a great office-appropriate piece, and that little bit Burberry A/W 2012, which is always a good thing.
This cute little disc sequined skirt (€17) takes its cues from Prada, whose sequins were that little bit more out-there. This is a really wearable take on a trend. I’d wear mine with opaque tights and a leather jacket to toughen it up a bit.
I love this skirt (€13). Only for I couldn’t find it in my size yesterday it would be mine. Gorgeous with a jumper (as above) or with a blouse tucked in … the colour and the brocade print are perfection.
This biker jacket is only €25 and a dead ringer for a €200 (ish) jacket Asos had out last A/W. It’s a great staple piece and leopard print is a basic by now so it will never go out of style.
What do you reckon? Worth popping in to take a look at?
