Earlier, as I was posting about Kate, Pippa and VB, I did a quick search to see if the Lytton could be bought anywhere (the answer is yes, but not in the leopard print pattern as sported by Kate – the good news for me is that I own it and, were I to eBay* it, could be very rich!) and came across a wealth of gorgeous items by DVF** currently on generous discount on The Outnet!
Now, when you think of DVF you probably think instantly of the wrap dress – and on that front (if you’ll excuse the pun), you’ll be disappointed. It’s a classic piece and it sells out; DVF probably doesn’t need to discount it in order to sell it! But there are a heap of gorgeous DVF dresses and separates on sale, as well as some lovely accessories. I’ve done a bit of an edit, but head on over to see the full selection.
This leather jacket, for example, was €1,175.55 and is now €529. At time of going to press (read: last night!) it was available in Irish sizes 6, 8 and 10.
This dress was one of the standouts of the spring/summer season for its sheer simplicity and slightly Grecian accent in the form of that gold embellished waistline. It started out at a rather fine €725. It’s now €362.50, in sizes 10, 12 and 14.
I love this dress, although I fear that, with the ruffles and its lack of straps, it’s not for the curvier of us. It started life as a €515 number; it’s now €180.25 (a 65% saving!) in sizes medium and large.
These shorts are another wardrobe staple; I’d wear them with a sheer blouse in summer, and with black tights and a denim shirt in winter time. You can grab them right now, in sizes 8, 12 and 14 for €147.24. They were €327.21.
This is perhaps one of my favourite colours, so it’s no surprise that I was drawn to this silk-blend top. Again, it’s available in an 8, 12 and a 14 and will set you back €147.24, rather than the original €327.21. I’d wear this with skinny jeans or a black leather skirt.
Last, but not least, this Harper bag has been on my shopping list for, as one’s mother might say, yonks. I would have settled for any of the colours (I particularly liked the bottle green) but this leopard-print calf-hair version is seriously lush. It was €1,018 and it’s now €509 (50% off, for those of you who are bad at maths) and – the best news? – one size fits all!
* Heads up! I am moving house and so will be eBaying a fair few things over the next while! If you fancy owning my former duds, most of which are unworn, check out my eBay profile.
** Disclaimer: Though it’s true that my sister did once work at DVF, she no longer works there, so these thoughts are entirely independent and have nothing to do with brand loyalty fueled by nepotism. Just in case you wondered.
