In case you missed it, all this week I’ve been doing my pick of the sales – three items I think are really worth grabbing at knock-down prices! On Monday we looked at My-Wardrobe’s top picks; Tuesday, it was Urban Outfitters; on Wednesday we trawled the rails at Warehouse; and yesterday it was Oasis’s turn. Today, it’s the mother lode: Net-a-Porter.

If you keep a beady eye on what you want, you can get some serious bargains on the internet’s version of our Brown Thomas; last season I got those Miu Miu booties at half price. Another year I got a Burberry mac for around €300. You can be really, really lucky. This season, I think you’d be pretty lucky to get your hands on any of these pieces!

From left, we’ve got one of the most coveted brands du jour, Proenza Schouler, with this 30%-off book bag, which was £910 and is now £637. So, yeah, still not very cheap. But cheap-er, and that counts, don’t it? In the middle is a We Are Handsome swimsuit, which you’ll obviously know all about from reading my column. This swimsuit, called the Showman, is half-price, retailing at £90. Last, but by no means least, these Burberry wedges are a serious investment purchase. In autumn / winter with a pair of socks or skinny jeans, and in summer with a floaty dress. Gorge. £262.50, down from £525 – that’s 50% off, kittens.

Now tell me, did you enjoy my sales focus? Did it inspire you to buy anything? Also, bon weekend!
