The sales we’re now seeing are the tail end of the S/S season – which, when we have yet to see our summer (fingers crossed!) seems crazy. But what it is good for is that the items that are reduced are items we’ve had our eyes on all too recently – like bits and pieces from Oasis’s summer collections, for example, all 1950s silhouettes and Mary Katrantzou inspired prints.

For the highlights? Well, there are loads. I shied away from adding in the tropical-print shorts I actually bought at full price, because it hurts me too much (am I the only one who ends up buying almost every single item that goes into sale? I like to think it’s because my taste is so unique and not, eh, bad), so I’ve included a few other versatile pieces that I think will do you good, whatever the season!

This pineapple-print skirt, for example, is a gorgeous, juicy shade and a timeless shape, and is reduced from €69 to €37 – a whopping €32 off full price! These swallow-print cropped skinny jeans are also great, reminiscent of J Brand or Rag & Bone’s collections, and reduced from €60 to €31. Finally, this dress is one of the standout pieces from Oasis’s S/S collections and one item I’ve been toying with buying myself – this may just push me over the edge! It’s €56, reduced from €88. So what do you reckon? Think I done good?

All this week I’m going to be doing daily posts on the best items from some common stores – some online, some terrestrial. Spot an amazing bargain?! Email me the deets at rmaccabe@irishtimes.com and I’ll do my best to include it!
