I caught this snap of Snarni Vinson, the actress perhaps better known as Kellan Lutz’s girlfriend, Cassie in Home and Away or the female character in Step Up 3D which, I don’t care what you say, was a cinematic masterpiece, earlier today – and decided to check out the rest of her red-carpet appearances. I love her beachy hair here and her slightly-cooler-than-a-regular-LBD dress.

I’m similarly enamoured of her get-up here, for the Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 premiere. Red is a daring choice for a woman who has nothing to do with the movie, but there’s something about Sharni’s totally honest smile that I love. She seems like she’d be great craic (and for the record, I thought that when she was in Home & Away AND when she was dancing her way through Step Up 3D).

In fact, looking through images of her red-carpet appearances, I found it hard to find one where she looked bad. Granted, her dress at the Nylon party was a bit mad, but it is Nylon and I can see how a young actress would feel a lot of pressure to look “cool” – and I don’t love her dress for QG’s Men of the Year party (bottom right) in Australia recently, but I think that’s due to its length and ageing qualities more than anything else. It is a classy look and would suit her if she were, oh, five years older. Then I found this – a belly top!

And oh, how I laughed! Until I realised that she was at a dance event (for which the uniform seems to be: baggy trousers and a belly top), and that she has the most amazing stomach since Britney phase 1, and that, had I that stomach, I would never cease wearing belly tops and I thought: carry on, Sharni, you’re doing just fine. (And ignore the Daily Mail; I personally think that, while you are very slim, you are muscly-slim, so I forgive you.)
