This spake none other than Pixie Geldof this morning at the Mulberry show, which drew some serious celebrity clout. As I sat down in my third-row seat I spotted the unmistakably perfect hair of Lana del Ray – who was soon out-perfected by Olivia Palermo – sitting next to Pixie Geldof and Michelle Dockery of Downton fame (who was sitting next to her co-star, Laura Carmichael …).

Within minutes, people were separate and space was made for Michelle Williams, possibly the most petite woman I have ever seen, and without a doubt one of the most beautiful. Hers has to be as close to perfection as a face can be; then she was joined by Elizabeth Olsen, who smiled and said: “Hi, I’m Lizzie.”

At one point a man came over and introduced himself to Michelle. “Congratulations,” he said. “On everything.” Which was quite a sweet way of acknowledging greatness, if you ask me.

La Wintour sat across the way and I spied her smiling at Hilary Alexander – but as the lights came up and the show began (more on which later) the sunglasses and poker face returned.

Of course, if you follow me on twitter you’ll know all of this already – but isn’t it nice to have it all in the one place? Pics to come once I get back to my laptop (some time tonight, after Topshop, Paul Smith and Louise Gray). It’s a full Sunday schedule!
