But it seems as if Marie Claire might not be quite as loving, as it chose to cover her up on its February cover.

I like Christina, as it happens, but this tagline wouldn’t exactly entice me to read on – for, despite my reading the Daily Mail on a, well, daily basis (for shame, I know), I couldn’t give a hoot what Christina Aguilera’s body looks like. Aguilera has proved herself, time and time again, to be an amazing singer, a rather eloquent interviewee, a pretty terrible actress and a sometimes hilarious performer.

She has spoken about the weight she lost for Burlesque, and she has also spoken about how she really doesn’t care that, apparently, the whole world thinks she’s fat – perhaps, just perhaps, she accepts that her body isn’t the be all and end all. Now, can we all get on with our lives – and Christina, do us a favour and release a good album, will you?
