On today’s ‘why did I spend all my money on hookers and booze?’ segment …

Everyone seems to be ignoring my posts, unless they’re, y’know, giving away a load of fitness gear, but I will persist! I will persevere! I will keep going! Fighting the good fashion fight, and so on (and so forth). Today’s object of desire is courtesy of Acne.
Isn’t that the most amazing powder-blue leather jacket you ever did see?! Buy it on My-Wardrobe.com for €990, or, y’know, on MyTheresa.com for €900. Go figure. Maybe the perception is that, if you’re spending €900 on a jacket, you don’t care about that extra €90. Well that is crazy thinking, because if I spend €900 on a jacket, I’ll be using that extra €90 to buy Dutch Gold to keep me warm in the cardboard box I’m living in for the next six months. Just me?
(Update: Harvey Nichols has it for €960. Isn’t it great to have options?)

Defo keep going! We are listening and reading and taking notes etc : )
love this! But at that price is it a timeless piece? Hmm, i suppose It’s a real statement piece, so that should suffice when one wears it throughout the decades, irrelevant as to what you pair it with. . . . . . (Sometimes I have a niggling feeling that I over-think fashion!)
On another note, it looks like really smooth, soft buttery leather . . . the type I only associate with good quality, well made pieces. Bliss!
Don’t worry, we’re reading and taking it all in, even if we’re not leaving comments!
Where’s the hookers and booze then? Swizz. Nice jacket used have a lady wore a jacket cut similar only hers was a lot more bashed up she was a mo’bike courier lived up round Charlemont street lovely lady had her own Magna kept it beautiful. Long time ago. ANyway. You’d be better off with Buckfast keepin you warm that Dutch Gold just goes thru’ ya don’t want to be soaking the cardboard.
Anseo!
Don’t give up! I click on your blog 4-5 times a day. It keeps me sane at work. I’m just not much of a commenter! Will try to do better….
I love you all, my little six-commenting club. Although, John, you love your auld tangents, don’t you? And I’m not entirely convinced you give two hoots about fashion – I get the impression you just rock along to see pretty girls in pretty frocks. Which, I guess, is your prerogative!
Thank you all anyway xo
