Obviously it helps that it looks oh-so-stunning on Cara Delevingne*, but this dress is just perfection. The olive shade, the ruched detailing, the leg slit with just that right amount of sex appeal. Swoon. Were I to get married, this is what I’d put my bridesmaids in. As it is, it might be what I’d wear to a wedding I’m going to in May, with my embellished Marni clutch and a pair of skyscraper heels (perhaps these?) – and accessorise with a plummy pink lip, something like this*.

Of course, it might be what I’d wear to a wedding I’m going to in May did I not have the aforementioned credit card limit or the did-I-mention-it issue with Revenue or the, oh, I don’t know, knowledge that €2,000 is a crazy amount of money to spend on something, no matter how beautiful it is. That said, this coat really seems to me to be worth £3,495 . . . am I losing my mind?

* I saw her at London Fashion Week, and that sudden recollection made me realise that, despite the craziness of the last one, I can’t wait to go back.
