Happy Thanksgiving! Mostly that’s what I’d like to say today; I’m taking a break from the blog for the whole day to eat turkey and yams and pumpkin pie and give thanks for colonialism and cheap flights in Portland. While I’m away, I have a series of links for you to explore, namely:

What happened when Harper’s Bazaar came to Ireland? Bizarre and beautiful.

Yesterday I saw a man in a taqueria (yes, I have a burrito problem) wearing a utilikilt. Seriously. He wasn’t even Scottish or nothin’.

Bow Boutique in Powerscourt has an online store. It’s only a baby, but it has some gorgeous stuff already, perfect for Christmas gifting. (But the site will never do the shop itself justice; the place is beautiful, I’d highly recommend checking it out.)

Chloe Moretz is on the cover of the newest Asos magazine. Coco’s Tea Party has the lowdown. I also watched an interview with Moretz on Jimmy Fallon; she is eerily too old for her 14 years.

Pepper and Chips has a gorgeous editorial from Vogue Taiwan – in that first picture, is it just me or does the model look just like Christina Ricci?

And Fashion Gone Rogue has an exclusive editorial featuring Kiki Kang, shot by Grant Yoshino. It’s breathtaking; it was a shoot that really made me stop and go, “oh, so that’s how it’s done”. Gorgeous.

In case you couldn’t tell, I’ve had some much-needed spare time on my hands during this holiday, time I’ve spent catching up with the internet and the fashion world and my life, and it has been glorious. I’m so happy that my break is only halfway over! If nothing else, it’s really made me realise how much I need to take time off from now on. Even from day one, I’ve just felt so much like I could breathe easier. If only every week I had moments like that . . .

Now, winners! There was a huge response to the Sally Hansen competition, and I’ve sadly had to pick just 10 winners, and they are: #88 Denise McAuliffe; #36 Danners; #21 Ciara; #32 Julia Cashman; #3 Susie; #66 Anne Hughes; #5 Jenny; #48 Miriam; #108 Susan Cunningham; and #23 C. Emails incoming, ladies / gents! The rest of you, don’t be disappointed – there’s another great competition coming up this Friday. Be sure to check back, I’m running gift-appropriate competitions every week between now and Christmas so there’ll be something for everyone! xo
