Fashion week is exactly like I thought it would be and nothing like I thought it would be. From reading blogs such as the Sartorialist, Vanessa Jackman and Taylor-Made, I had an idea that there would be some fashionable people in and around Somerset House this week. I thought I’d find, maybe, three or four people who fit the idea of “uber cool” or who looked super stylish.

Kids, you have no idea. There is no one at Somerset House who doesn’t look fashionable. And by fashionable, I don’t mean, as if they have a clue about fashion; I mean as if they woke up, got vomited all over by Fashion itself, and left for the day. Seriously – this is fashion in the most meta way possible – this is fashion if fashion ate itself. Is fashion eating itself?

I’d quite like to rock up tomorrow in jeans, Converse and a sweater, just to make an anti-fashion statement – but I’m not all that subversive, really, and I’m a bit keen to get street style papped myself, truth told.

This is Molly Taylor, as a case in point. Her friend Alexander Huck made her headpiece; everyone took her photo. I’m devastated I didn’t bring my own pigeon headpiece.
