I have a double reason to be excited about Simone Rocha at the moment – not only has she done a really interesting, minimalist and androgynous collection for Topshop, she’s showing as part of London Fashion Week on Sunday, for which I am in town. High five to that*!

I love the androgyny of her collection, and it simplicity – but I suspect, sadly, it would not be for me. Boxy tailoring does my large shoulders no favours, and I’m far too buxom to pull it off fully. But I can see how it would be up Simone’s alley, especially judging by this pic!

She has a really cool personal style, as well as having a great eye for design (not off the ground she licked it, wha’?) and I always feel like, with Simone, she could’ve taken the “easy” route and been apprenticed to her dad, cut her teeth in his shadow, as it were. Instead she high-tailed it to London, graduated with no small degree of acclaim from Central St Martins and is at LFW for the third time. Kudos, Rocha Jr, kudos.

I’m also pretty excited about Paul Costello very early tomorrow morning, the Ashish show, Topman (male models, woot*!) and Jaeger London. I will fill you all in on whether or not I see any celebrities. Keep an eye on my Twitter feed, Fash Mob’s Twitter feed, the Facebook page and the internet, generally, for updates! I even got a UK sim so I could tweet my way through the shows. No, I’m not joking.

* This is why I will never be cool enough to be a true fashion burd.

** This is why I brought my Wonderbra***.

*** That is a joke.
