Victoria Beckham yesterday showed her first full catwalk collection as part of New York Fashion Week (should we expect a great homecoming when she finally brings her show to London?), with an unexpected move towards relaxed insouciance.

For the most part, her trademark silhouettes remain – but waistlines are lower and looser, she showed a flat shoe (honestly, where’s the humanity?!) and outerwear has taken a break away from fit and form to embrace a calmer, cooler femininity.

Also, slicked-back hair is, apparently, in – but I’d caution against this unless your bone structure rivals Olivia Palermo’s. And before you answer: no, it probably doesn’t.
